ERLANGER, Ky. — Firefighters rescued one person trapped after a tree fell on a home in Erlanger during severe storms early Thursday morning.
The Erlanger Fire Department said crews responded to Division Street after receiving a report of a tree falling on a home at around 12:45 a.m. Officials said three people were inside the home when the tree fell. Two people got out safely while one, who officials said was directly under where the tree hit, remained trapped.
Officials said firefighters rescued the person and took them to St. Elizabeth for what appeared to be minor injuries.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Two tornadoes have been confirmed by the National Weather Service to have touched down in southwest Ohio early Thursday.
The first confirmed tornado started in northern Brown County and went into southeast Clinton County near the village of Lynchburg in Highland County, the NWS explained.
That is where a home and barn were hit hard in the 2900 block of Oak Grove Road. The house was possibly shifted off its foundation and the barn was destroyed with the roof blown off, the homeowners tell FOX19 NOW.
Trees were ripped up and flung into the pond behind the house. All the family’s keepsakes are scattered across their yard and most of them are ruined.
The same tornado also went into Highland County, the NWS says.
Highland County dispatchers confirm the Lynchburg area has “a lot of damage.”
They said around 2:30 a.m. they were “slammed” with calls requesting emergency service or reporting storm damage, such as wires and trees down.
Damage assessments continue in all three counties, the NWS added.
Large trees also crashed down on four homes, splitting most of them in half, in Milford, Williamsburg, Loveland, and in on Division Street in Erlanger, where one person had to be rescued, according to county dispatchers and fire officials.
First Alert Weather Days: More severe storms possible Thursday as flooding threat looms
A second confirmed tornado touched down in eastern Clinton County near Sabina before moving into Fayette County, according to the NWS.
More information will be released later as the NWS continues to assess damage in Clinton County and Fayette County.
Various county EMA officials were out driving in the dark overnight trying to find and confirm storm damage so crews would know where to return at first light, according to Clinton County EMA Director Thomas Breckel.
“It’s dark right now so there’s not a whole lot we can do,” Breckel said around 2:45 a.m. Thursday. “We are trying to do some work now to see where the damage is so the EMA crews can go out at first light and really see where the damage is. ”
So far, dispatchers in Hamilton, Clermont, Butler and Warren counties all say the most damage they’ve seen reported - besides trees falling on homes in Loveland, Milford, Williamsburg and Erlanger - are trees and wires down.
The window for severe storm activity ended at 5 a.m. Thursday, but more strong to severe storms are possible later in the day, according to the FOX19 NOW Weather Team.
Flooding also will be a concern for the entire Tri-State with a Flood Watch in effect until 8 a.m. Sunday.
Greater Cincinnati alone is expected to see 4 to 6 inches of rain.

What you need to know about Eons Adventure Park: It provides locals and tourists a space for outdoor recreation
Eons Adventure Park will be a 1,000-acre urban woodland adventure park "designed for all generations to wander, ride, play, learn, escape and explore forever," according to a news release from the city of Erlanger. Once completed, the park will potentially span multiple Northern Kentucky cities, stretching from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to the Riverfront Commons in Ludlow.
The park will offer an abundance of recreational features, including:
"As we were looking at the whole scope, we thought this would be a great natural preserve-type area that we could really develop into a high-end, state-of-the-art preserve with a focus on nature and mountain biking," said Mark Collier, Erlanger's director of economic development.
Here's where the project stands and what's ahead
The project broke ground at a ceremonial event near the development site in late October and is still only in its first phase.
While the park is planned to be over 1,000 acres, this first phase of the project will primarily focus on a much smaller area near the Erlanger neighborhood of Cherry Hill. This plot of land is sandwiched between the neighborhood and the Interstate 275 and I-71 interchange, near the Commonwealth Avenue exit.
This part of the park will generally follow the path of Sycamore Tree Lane, branching off into Old Erlanger Road, which is currently closed off. However, as part of the first phase, the city will reopen Old Erlanger Road and revitalize that path into a multi-modal road, serving as the park's "spine," Collier said.
Along with the reopening of the "spine," the first phase of the project also includes the development of the dog park and converting Sycamore Tree Lane into a one-way road to prevent tractor-trailer traffic from entering the Cherry Hill neighborhood, Collier said. The dog park is set to be completed by July 2025.
The completion of the entire 1,000-acre park is projected to take years and will require cooperation from the city's project partners like developer Corporex and neighboring counties. Collier acknowledged the park may never even be completed.
"It's going to be a multi-year, multi-phase project that truly may never be completed because there is so much opportunity to build into the trail network," Collier said.
How much will the project cost?
The city of Erlanger has budgeted $900,000 for phase one of the project. Additionally, the city has secured $250,000 in grant funding from the National Parks Service to aid in the construction.
Once city council decides to fund future phases of the project, Collier said the city can then move forward with adding other amenities, such as the mountain bike and hiking trails and picnic areas.
The park is expected to have a significant economic impact on the region. The project is estimated to create over 1,000 jobs and triple the amount of local spending, according to the Eons Adventure Park website.
