What Tools Does Disaster Response Use for Water Damage Clean-Up?
We only use the best equipment! With our extensive experience in the Danbury restoration industry, we've acquired state-of-the-art tools designed to tackle a wide range of challenges. This experience has also allowed our technicians to identify which type of equipment is best for a particular situation. Some of the most common water damage restoration tools we use include:

Infrared Cameras
Our infrared cameras give us the ability to see moisture in walls and ceilings that is not visible to the naked eye, almost like having "X-ray" vision. This capability allows us to detect and address trapped and hidden humidity, significantly reducing the risk of mold growth.

Moisture Meters
We use moisture meters to measure moisture levels in cellulose material. Before and after the drying process, we will conduct moisture readings in all areas of your property. If we detect moisture in an unaffected area of your building, we'll get to work quickly to dry it.

Air Movers
This equipment is designed to work in conjunction with our dehumidifiers. While our dehumidifiers extract moisture from the air and convert it to a liquid, our Air Mover helps to circulate this moisture in the air so that the dehumidifier can effectively remove it.

Ozone Generators
These advanced tools enable us to cleanse affected surfaces and the air in a more effective manner. Ozone Generators work by causing oxygen molecules to implode, making them a valuable deodorization tool.

Xtreme Xtractor
This tool is great for tackling tough moisture after water damage. It allows us to apply direct pressure to a surface, like a carpet, that has soaked up water. The pressure helps draw out the water, making it easier to remove.
Top 3 Types of Water Damage You Should Know About
Water damage can strike without warning and can wreak havoc on your property, leaving you feeling hopeless and overwhelmed. Whether it's from a burst pipe, a severe storm, or an overflowing appliance, your property needs immediate water damage clean-up in Danbury, TX, to prevent further harm. Here are the top three types of water damage you should know about:

Clean Water Damage

This type of water damage happens from a "clean" source, such as rainwater or a broken pipe in your home. It's easier to clean up than others on this list but can still cause extensive property damage when ignored.

Gray Water Damage

Gray water damage stems from appliances such as toilets without feces, washing machines, and dishwashers. Gray water sometimes contains bacteria and contaminants that can make you or your family sick.

Black Water Damage

The name alone indicates the severity of this type of water damage. It's caused by backed-up sewer lines, river flooding, and standing water that supports bacteria growth. Black water presents serious health hazards and needs to be handled by professional water damage contractors.
If you suspect your home or business has been damaged by one or more of the types of water above, take the following steps:

- Be Safe: Turn off all electricity running through your property. Don't go near or touch any water you believe to be contaminated.
- Stop the Source of Water: If you're able, put a stop to the water at its source. That way, you can prevent more damage.
- Call Disaster Response: Contact our water damage company ASAP for water restoration services. Our team is available 24/7 to respond to emergencies.
Our Process for Water Damage Restoration in Danbury, TX
Having a water damage restoration company by your side who knows how to remediate moisture is a key factor in getting your life back on track. At Disaster Response, we have refined our process over 40+ years of water damage clean-up experience. That way, we can provide customers with reliable, comprehensive service when they need it the most.
We utilize powerful pumps and vacuums to eliminate standing water from your property. Swift water removal is essential in minimizing damage and lowering the likelihood of mold growth. Our team is dedicated to ensuring efficient water extraction to prevent any additional complications.
After extracting water from your property, we dry and dehumidify the impacted areas. We use industrial-grade dehumidifiers and air movers to do so to eliminate moisture from walls, floors, and furniture. Proper drying helps prevent warping, swelling, and the growth of mold.
Whenever we deal with water damage, we have to address the potential contaminants and bacteria that can enter your home. We make sure to thoroughly clean and sanitize all affected areas to create a safe living environment. This involves cleaning carpets, upholstery, and personal belongings. Our technicians also use antimicrobial treatments to prevent mold and bacterial growth.
The final step in the process is the restoration of your home to its pre-damage condition. This comprehensive restoration process may encompass a range of tasks, from minor repairs such as replacing drywall and installing new carpeting to major reconstruction efforts. Rest assured that Disaster Response is fully equipped to manage all aspects of water damage restoration, from start to finish.
- Maintenance: Have your business or home's roof, appliances, and plumbing inspected by professionals to spot early signs of wear and tear.
- Water Alarms: If there is a flood or leak in your home, a water alarm can alert you so that you can take action immediately.
- Drainage: Your home needs proper drainage systems in place at all times. To prevent water buildup, be sure to unclog your downspouts and gutters.
- Cracks and Gaps: Be sure to seal up any cracks and gaps in your property's foundation to limit water from getting inside.

Texas Roadhouse at 74 Newtown Road in Danbury opened its doors in June of 2017. Since day one, Texas Roadhouse has been the Greater Danbury area’s go-to for ice cold beers, Legendary Margaritas, Fresh Baked Bread, Fall-Off-the-Bone Ribs, Made-From-Scratch Sides and Salad Dressings, and Hand-Cut Steak.
Being an active part of the community is one of the driving goals of Texas Roadhouse in Danbury. The location works hard to be a community-focused and community-involved restaurant through in-house fundraisers and supporting community events. Fundraisers include Dine to Donates, Rib Rally, as well as the Peanut Brittle and Beef Jerky Fundraisers. They work with local schools, churches, and other nonprofits to support fundraising goals. Currently any school that books a fundraiser in March or April will receive 25 free baked potatoes towards a Baked Potato Bar during Teacher Appreciation Week in May. The Danbury location also works hard to make connections with local businesses helping with employee appreciation and other events.
The restaurant’s mascot, Andy Armadillo, loves to be out and about in the community, visiting and taking part in all of Texas Roadhouse’s local events. Texas Roadhouse also honors local heroes all year round with special first responder and veteran discounts, as well as veteran parking.
Matthew Wood is the Managing Partner and has a Legendary Team to help bring smiles to the faces of everyone that enters the restaurant. Lauren is the Kitchen Manager, Jennifer is the Service Manager, Loren Daly is the Local Store Marketer. Chris and Ben are the Key Managers and Bernie is the full time in house Meat Cutter as well as a Key Manager. Next time you come in, make sure to say “Hi.”
Daly noted Texas Roadhouse as being a casual, energetic, family-friendly spot for patrons to enjoy. The restaurant, Daly said, strives “to be the best, cleanest, and friendliest in town.”
Whether diners are looking to have a meal at the restaurant or taken to-go, Daly says Texas Roadhouse continues to serve up its signature “legendary food and legendary service.” It carries the legacy of the restaurant’s founder Kent Taylor, who passed away in 2021.
Sample of the Menu
Starters: The Cactus Blossom is Texas Roadhouse’s signature appetizer. The Combo Appetizer lets customers pick three items from boneless wings, fried pickles, twisted mozzarella, snake bites, or potato skins.
Burgers and Sandwiches: Texas Roadhouse uses tender, slow-cooked pork covered in the restaurant’s signature BBQ sauce for its pulled pork sandwich. Another standout is the Smokehouse Burger, made of half a pound of fresh ground chuck topped with sautéed onions, mushrooms, BBQ sauce, American cheese, and jack cheese. Both sandwiches are served on a toasted Texas-sized bun with steak fries and pickle chips.
Salads: Of the more than half a dozen salad options, there is the Steakhouse Filet Salad with Italian and blue cheese dressing, topped with blue cheese crumbles, bacon bits, tender filet strips, tomatoes, red onions, and croutons. It is also served with a side of creamy blue cheese. The Chicken Critter Salad has hot, crispy strips of chicken on a bed of cold greens with cheddar and jack cheeses, tomato, egg, and bacon.
Country Dinners: The Country Fried Sirloin consists of hand-battered, fresh-cut sirloin that is cooked crispy and golden, then topped with cream gravy. It is served with two sides.
Hand-Cut Steaks and Ribs: Hand-cut steak and fall-off-the-bone ribs.
Chicken: Chicken critters are all white meat chicken tenders that are golden-fried and lightly crispy. The herb-crusted chicken is boneless, marinated chicken breast that is seasoned with a blend of herbs and spices, before being flame-grilled and served with a caramelized lemon. Both meals are served with two sides.
Kids’ Meals: The Lil’ Dillo Steak Bites are grilled filet pieces served with one side and a kid-sized soft drink, juice, or milk.
Sides and Extras: All the sides are made from scratch, and there are fresh baked rolls and honey cinnamon butter.
Beverages: On a hot summer day, popular drinks are fresh-brewed sweet tea, flavored lemonades, and Legendary Margarita.
Dessert: Treats include a Big Ole Brownie Sundae, strawberry cheesecake, and Granny’s Classic Apple Pie.
Catering is available.
Texas Roadhouse, 74 Newtown Road, Danbury, is open Monday through Thursday from 3 to 10 pm; Friday 3 to 11 pm; Saturday from 11:30 am to 11 pm; and Sunday from 11:30 am to 10 pm.
