What is a HEPA filter in restoration equipment?

A HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filter removes at least 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 microns or larger per U.S. Department of Energy specifications. Required on air scrubbers and negative air machines during mold, fire, and biohazard remediation. Captures mold spores, soot, asbestos fibers, and bacteria.
